And it put down 342whp and 347wtrq
1992 ZR1 Corvette *St Judes fundraiser 7/14/13* - The video is also on YouTube under the straightline performance page. I went to the Straight Line Performance St. Jude's fundraiser dyno day event in New Lenox IL. This is a stock 1992 ZR1 with a cut open air filter lid and a paper filter. Car has 67K on the clock. I have the dyno sheet scanned. If somebody can post it for me that would be great. There was a 94 LT1 that put down 254 at the wheels, and all stock so the dyno looks to be working correctly. BTW I was the only 4th gen ZR1 there. There is no way this car is making 375hp at the crank! Last edited by Karl; 07-15-2013 at 08:57 AM. |

The SAE correction factor commonly used for (ZR-1's) drive train loss on a inertia dyno (e.g, dynojet) is rwhp/.85, which would be approx. 342/.85 = 402.35 CHP.
For the LT1, 254/.85 = 298.82 at the clutch, or pretty close to the factory 300 hp spec. So, what did you expect at the rear wheels for the Z? What mods does it have? (Getting close to 400 at the wheels isn't much of a trick these days for the LT5.) |

I was looking for 320 @ the wheels. Only modification is a cut open air filter lid. It still has the paper air filter that came with the car when I bought it over 2 months ago.
Guess this car is underrated from the factory. |

A stock LT1 will output around 250rwhp, and LS1 around 300rwhp. You underestimate the might LT5. |

Get rid of those nasty stock exhaust manifolds, throw some good headers on it and relocate the IAT and probably bump it up another 20-30whp
