Default Nylon drain plug washer?

Just curious, as I'm doing my first oil change on my 93 ZR-1 and removing the plug was surprised to see a very old, cracked white plastic washer.

My car has 64,000 miles and according to the Carfax records was regularly dealer serviced through June 2024, so it's surprising it doesn't have the correct rubber-insert washer, or even a generic crush washer.

I stumbled across this thread
https://www.zr1.net/forum/showthread...t=nylon+washer

which indicates at one time NCRS was looking for a white nylon washer which seems to be what I have, but according to that thread, this was incorrect, though mine certainly looks like it could be original to the car, or maybe a very early dealer service replacement?

I just ordered correct washers from Jerry's, so I'll have to wait patiently before refilling now.

I was the one who mentioned the white nylon vs. the metal with rubber insert in the thread. I only switched it to the nylon washer due to the insistence of the meet judge at the regional. When I went to the National meet the C-4 team leader crawled under my car to verify the white nylon because the team judging team claimed they could not see the white nylon. Ultimately the team leader gave me the points for the nylon gasket. I don't know where the NCRS is on the issue currently, I have lost all faith in their expertise. I do know however when I owned 1990 #2529 which I bought at less than 3000 miles there was no nylon washer, it had the rubber inserted metal washer. I do not know what is appropriate for a 1993 MY.
