Default Courtesy lamp fuse keeps blowing

So it had been a long time since I drove the car but I pulled it out a couple weeks ago to take a drive. I turned on the radio and then the sound all went dead (still had the time though). Then I noticed that the Climate Control system was out too. I started checking fuses and found that the courtesy light fuse (15 amp) was blown. I replaced it, climate control came back, radio came back. Took it for a spin and then it all went dark again. Sure enough, the fuse blew again.

I'm out of 15 amp fuses so I haven't tried it again yet, but I'm wondering if anyone has an idea as to where I should start when trying to resolve this? I have a feeling its just going to blow again.

Thanks in advance for anything guys.

Make sure your battery is 100% charged, I've gone through the exact same thing, thinking my battery was up to snuff I began trying to track down a short. Turned out to be a total waste of time, the battery was just a little low and resulted in the fuse blowing.

Start with nothing turned on and then bring accessories on-line one at a time.
Note that this fuse powers the interior lights and the delayed access bus too, so start out with the doors and hatch closed.

Thanks for the tips. The car has been sitting for a long time so its possible the battery is a bit low but it is less than a year old. I'm going to drive it to work here shortly (40 miles) and try replacing the fuse after that.

My radio is pretty much shot. The speakers always pop in and out. If I do have a short could it possibly be from the radio even though it has its own fuse?

So I think it was the battery being low that was popping the 15 amp fuse. I got the battery recharged after driving it for a while. I can turn the radio on now without it blowing. Although, that Bose CD player is in bad shape.

Thanks for the help.
