The felt headliner on my painted top has come completely unglued from the pad beneath it. Saggng on my head! I swapped tops and removed the pad and it looks like the adhesive used to hold the pad on was fairly thick and perhaps applied with a brush, almost looks like contact cement but not as stong as the pad was fairly easy to work off the top. Can't tell what was used for the headliner.
I have used spray fabric adhesive in the past with good luck and now have 3M 77 spray adhesive that I think I will use for gluing the felt headliner to the pad. Anyone know if I need a special stronger adhsesive to attach the pad to fiberglass or would 77 work? BTW, when I put the glass top on I notice it looks like the tinting layer is delaminating at the passenger side edge, up an inch or so in some places. Anyone see this before and is there a fix? -- Bob
