Hi folks, I hope you don;t mind me asking for your advice here.
Corvettes are as scarce as hen's teeth here in the UK, so knowing of this esteemed forum, I thought you might be the best folks to speak to. I have the change to buy a 1991 ZR1 here in the UK - hopefully if I do this right, this is the link to the sales page - http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/223239.htm On sale at GBP10k which works out around US$20k. As you can see, 57k miles, and the feedback I've had from the seller is positive: The paintwork is fantastic. I would say 9.5/10, or for its age - 16 years! - 12/10. There are very few stone chips, the red is in fantastic condition all round, no fade, like new. The car has been garaged all the time, both by myself and the previous owner, which is back about 10 years. EVERYTHING works, without fault in the vehicle. This includes the digital dash, all electrics (windows, door mirrors, seats etc.). The only things not working are the ABS (warning light) and the Air-con (needs re-gassing). The CD-player and all Bose speakers are fine, but the CD player needs cleaning (it sometimes has trouble starting a disc from cold). The car has never been tracked. He's given me a few more other details regarding the wheels, age of the exhaust system etc and all seems right. I'll have the car checked over and test drive etc, however what do you guys think? Reasonable deal? Thanks in advance Laurence |
