It's a good question, Craig, and the only thing I can come up with is personally, I like this ZR-1 quirk enough that I would rather it look the part for the year on mine. I know most people wouldn't care or know the difference, but if I'm going to spend $1500 on one that isn't 'quite' correct, vs. the supposedly $1000 for one that is correct, I'd rather do the $1000 reproduction. But with no status on these (which is really disappointing six months after the announcement), the $550 normal windshield (including tint) that can be made to look almost perfect with the right cutout added in is probably my preferred choice and certainly a guarantee I would never have the same problem. The seller of the Kurt White believes it is for a '90 - no question, if it had the small cutout, I'd grab it.
