I'm doing a lot better now.
Time heals, it just never seems like it'll be fast enough. In time, I'm sure we'll laugh about it, just not anytime soon. My dad previously was thinking about getting a Z06 when he retires. I asked him recently what good all the extra power would do, besides allowing me to jump it 10 feet further.

I'd gladly drive through 1000 fences instead of having your memories.
