Default Re: Did the OBX headers fit or what???

The Tranny is in my drive shaft is rebuild, I started on some beam plates, and I removed the old factory headers(That was a BI#%CH). But I have not touched the OBX headers yet for a test fit, we have entered our heavy part of our autocross season and I have been swamped with my track cars repair and adjustments.

Dave,
I understand the delay with all you have going on. Another member has a set, too, so between you and him we'll get the scoop on the OBX header issue.
Get ready cause next week the real cold weather will be paying us a visit. Hang tough

That's why I live in the southern tip of Texas all we ever have is sun and warmth in varying degrees. Its also the reason why I have so many projects . You never have too shovel sunshine.

High of 17 is a bit much for central Texas.

When I was in Tech school in Chanute I can remember marching with a leather face mask to keep my face from freezing. Now that was a bit cool by Illinois standards.

I installed a set of OBX, with WAZOO help, on a 94. I love them!
I had a chance to compare OBX to SW side by side. All tube bends are pretty much identical. Only difference is OBX collectors are about 10" forward and OBX comes w/ glasspacks that looks like metallic cats. These glass packs can be replaced w/ metallic cats if needed w/ minor mod. Cats should work better since being closer to exhaust ports should heat up better.
Quality is as good as any other headers I have seen.

I assumed that it would since we used a relocation piece when we did the last install which was SW.
Yes - I used a relocation bracket and all went smoothly. Also used Stage 8 bolts.
By the way -do yourself a favor and get a set of gaskets from Jerry's. OBX gaskets are 8 rectangular individual pieces - one per port. Got to be a real PITA to use.
