Whew... Well, that's comforting. But, I'm sweating the (near???) over-heating episode now...paranoid, I recon. Long as the gasket held (again), I guess I'm alright. $$$ is really tight right now, and I really hate to see what the compression test might show.

Paul, The 91 was doing this when I got it. It would spike to right at the hashed section and this worried me. The PO told me it "did it sometimes" and that he had Marc check it and clean the radiator but that it didn't help due to the wiring from the battery being too small to run the fans at idle (or something like that). But this was happening going down the road... Well I went to looking and the WP was leaking and the radiator clogged. Once all of that was repaired (new WP and removed and cleaned the radiator) the Z stays nice and cool now. Anyhow point being I think our Z was done that way for a long time so I think you are safe if it just did it once on yours. Daniel |
