The Founding Members are now identified by a special tag.

Founding members are defined as those that joined the ZR-1 Net Registry prior to January 1, 2005. This was 446 members. 66 Founding members joined prior to 2005 and never renewed. (1 year members)
All the history and records are maintained by the Membership Director. Just over 100 Founding members have been a member every year.
