the KOTH with the new younger upstart. I still like driving the ZR1 better but there is no doubt that 800 rwhp in a 3100 lb car is DAMNED exciting. hooking it up has proven to be a challenge. I turn the boost down to 10-13 psi and the thing still squirms and trips the traction control constantly. the active handling is kinda cool, and the car is tight as a drum.. the zr1 still gets my blood flowing like no c5 can but I was tired of waiting to "blow up" my LSV to TT it. I promised the Ms. I wouldn't tear into a perfectly good LPE engine just to make more power I really don't need and the TT Z06 cost not alot more than the TT ZR-1 project would for a turn key car. both are paid for now so the "vette bank" is pretty full. now that my daughter has the little S Box Mazda (my only practical car), my daily driver is a vette or a turbo buick.
the least of which is a 300 hp lt1 94 auto which still runs great with 80K miles. the car was bought from a fellow ZR-1 owner who now has my dunns head 95 zr1 from Mr. 95 ZR-1 himself. Ted Dempsey. I think ted may be "down" to 4 95s now, he has the american flag combo, red white and blue. god I love the 95 zr-1. a very refined and thrilling auto to be sure. I may slap an automatic in the z06 to help me hook it better and tame some of those power shifts which really just blow the tires off. I'll keep you guys posted. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I'm going to have to find more pictures, but this is the toy list... mostly my fathers...
2005 Harley Ultra Classic dad 2006 27ft Cabin Cruiser Boat- Dad 2004 Honda 1200 Waverunner- mine 1990 ZR1 Corvette- mine 2001 Z06- Dad 1968 Dodge Coronet 4 door- brother 1972 Plymouth Grand Fury- dad and mine ( haha funny project car ) Just sold the 1966 327 350hp Corvette ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The garage... ![]() ![]() some other pics here.. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/phot...0&ppuser=35227 The coronet and fury we just got for dirt cheap to rebuild and have some fun with... when we rebuilt the 66 we never drove it because it was a 98% original car. Frame up restoration on it, so we only put 2600 miles on it in 7.5 years... Anyways these are all the pics i have for now, ill try and get more when the weather gets nicer! btw... our garage is small so everyone needs a LIFT... IT CAN BE DONE! |

NICE PIC'S.....
WHERE DOES YOUR DAD KEEP THE "FORMULA" BOAT AT? IT LOOKS LIKE THE CHAIN-O-LAKES SOMEWHERE! IF THAT IS TRUE AND YOU GO OUT ON IT OFTEN THEN YOU MAY VERY WELL HAVE SEEN MY BOAT OUT THERE ALREADY. I BELONG TO THE NORTHERN ILLINOIS OFFSHORE CLUB AND WE MANY EVENTS ON THE CHAIN EVERY YEAR. http://www.nioffshore.com/ <<< LINK Last edited by WB9MCW; 05-25-2008 at 12:19 AM. |
