It's not just care in typing but care in how you read it. Controlling what words are taboo is not it. IMHO If all else fails, just take care in who you respond to at all. I truly believe if what is "meant" is in the best interest of the car in the end those who really care about the car will accept it even if they don't agree with it.

About your last paragraph, thats the issue about "reading" the typed work, thats all the stimulus you get. Studies I have read state that 85% of communucation is non-verbal. I might type a smart assed remark, but my reader wont see my smile to reinforce that I was joking. It's amazing how we as humans can communicate. Sometimes i work with people that cant or have issues expressing their thoughs into words "expressive aphasia" (think Mrs Gabrielle Giffords after her frightful injuries-she understand 100% what you have just said and immediatley WANTS to responds, but is unable to in a manner which she wants to, HUGELY frustrating. If someone has issues actually taking in the ouside world, it's known as Receptive Aphasia. As a Nurse I have caught on pretty quickly to non verbal cues. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to know when someone is about to have a "Code Brown" if you dont get them to, pants down and onto a toilet. Where it gets tricky is if someone is unconcious or semi concious and you have to evaluate their pain level. We were taught in school that Pain should be the 5th vital sign Heart Rate, Breaths/minute,Blood Pressure, Temp. and I always ask about pain. "Sir, on a scale of One to ten, with Zero representing Zero and Ten representing the worst pain you have experienced, what number is you pain right now? Sure, easy peazy for you and I. But do that for a newborn, or a 100 year old, either may or may not be able to respond, or even understand you on a good day. It is frustrating when trying to convey your thoughts via a keyboard, but all we can do is try our best, and try to have fun doing it.\ Have a great weekend everyone. |

I will say this....disagreeing has a negative connotation it carries with it which then puts one (the one you disagree with) immediately on the defensive. There are many reasons one might have an opinion but if you present your facts, no one has to defend anything. Seems to me you can offer up some facts letting the one you disagree with jump on your band wagon voluntarily. He/she can then do it your way or continue to do it his/her way which no one has labeled wrong ![]() Begging to disagree is funny. Why should you have to beg or apologize for helping (or not helping) the other person. My "facts" and (what I thought was help) have been ignored many times and in the process I found out there were other facts better than what I presented ![]()
