Question B&B mufflers

Hi guys. I have been following the thread that is polling which muffler sounds the best on the ZR-1. I have heard of all the different brands being polled except for the B&B brand and since it appears to be leading the poll I would like some more information about them but don't know where to start looking. I can't find it on the web. Could someone please give me a link or address? Thanks, Perry

If you chosse to get the B&B system, try getting a group purchase from TRYRNE, which is where I found the best price.

I absolutely love mine. I have headers into high flow RT cats to B&B with their "X"-pipe. Not sure but thought I heard they don't sell the X-pipe anymore?

Yes, it's got the good old 60's roar. Some complain of a resonnace issue- if that ressonance I love it. Best to go to some ZR-1 gatherings and hear what your interested in, it's really the only way. Although, I believe the 3" B&B with X-pipe & High Flow RT Cats & headers will be your highest net gain in aftermarket systems. That should get you some replies!!

I have some exhaust pics in my sig...

I recently bought my B & B tri-flow with their x-pipe. I have headers with no cats and the resonance is a bit much. Since you have the cats, it might not be as bad as mine. I am going to give it a little more time but at this point, I am thinking of going with a resonator in place of the x-pipe. You lose a little HP, but it might be worth it. I've noticed it is especially bad in the cabin with the AC on at 1800rpm's. When you are stuck going through residential sections of town it can really start to grate on you.

I agree that your set up, minus the cats has the highest potential HP gain.

For putting up with no cats, I would think the resonator would actually be too quite for you. I would keep the X-pipe and add the RT cats, at least price compare them. The RT pn: 703000, SHF Metallic Cat., 598 cfm, 3" in/out. I've had a number of people complement my exhaust sound at car shows this summer, although, none had ridden in it. Well, good luck with it: http://www.randomtechnology.com/
