Jim: What was your favorite place? Favorite city, or area? If you could move to another area of the U.S., where would it be?

The favorite place for me was Mt St Helens. Anyone with any interest in how our earth has formed needs to go see Mt St Helens. The power of the forces that have shaped our landscapes is clearly evident in the area around the volcano. But the evidence is being covered by the other forces of nature: erosion and growth. In another twenty years it will be just another mountain side and flat-floored valley covered with soil and vegetation.

Lyndi's favorite place was Mono Lake on the California/Nevada border east of Yosemite. It is a relatively small sample of the workings of natural forces and man's effect on the terrain.

We found something to enjoy in every city we visited. Our favorite cities were San Francisco #1, Seattle, Omaha, Cheyenne, and Baker City, Oregon. We are already discussing a return trip to see more of Wyoming and to stay longer in SF.

We will probably not ever move. We have the great privilege to live in the town where Lyndi's family has been for 200+ years. Our house was built by Lyndi's grandfather, and we completely renovated it. It would be very hard to leave Westminster. The good news is that we enjoy traveling so we have many more trips planned.

Jim

Absolutely loved taking the trip with you, wonderful pictures across this incredible country. I keep showing my wife your pictures, and she's thinking about it. But we're inclined to go with an RV and spend a couple years on the road. I think it will be our 50th birthday present to ourselves, not that far away.

And the most amazing number out of all of this is almost 33,000 pics!!! That's a 1000 pic a day average.

Wow.

Hello from Switzerland,

I think a lot of people in this forum have to say thank you very much, me too, for
sharing all these amazing pictures and for the text written to each of them.
I just read that there are a lot of them more. So one day, may be, we are
allowed to see more of them. This would be great.
Best wishes,

Franz
