Wow! Hard to believe there are that many low mile ZR1s available and for big money!

Looks like the car has an odometer issue on the car fax, I can?t see that car only going for $18k with a clean car fax

the site itself seems to be somewhat of a BaT knock-off site, but also it is not all auctions. this car is listed in the "deal tank" section, which appears to show buy-it-now option unlike the auction sections. there is no apparent timer on cars in the deal tank, so maybe it'll just be available until the seller is happy with an offer.
Sounds like a Fidanza flywheel to me. If he pushed the clutch in on the video that chatter would have went away. GC

It was probably a typo. At one time in the vehicles life. In CA the local smog checks could be entered in at the local garage. So it just might be a ham fingers event.

The DRM mods were more ?old school? than the ones we have available today. In all likelihood, that?s 470 at the crank which would line up with what u would have doing a top end port.

It could be the DRM 550 package.

I think that's the 385 stroker motor.

You can see the DRM car tested at the 11:19 minute mark and continues in the next video. The driver was very impressed.

I wonder what gear was used to top the car in 6th gear?

The more I look at this car it appears to be a DRM 550 car as shown in the video. It is tricked out from the cold air intake to the full DRM suspension.

Talk about a possible deal!!!! I would do a compression check and check the transmission.

The front wheels can be put on the opposite side to correct the tire direction issue.

I was in touch with the seller and got a little more out of him about the car, but only a little.

It?s running stock exhaust manifolds, no headers. The coil overs weren?t done by Rippie with the engine, they were added after the engine was done. No info was forthcoming about the cams or other details about the work.

The seller was registered here at one time and the car is in the database. He has only one post I could find. Appears he is the original owner. I couldn?t find him on the ?big forums? and didn?t locate anything more about the car on the web.

I like this Z but the seller is so hard to talk with it?s discouraging. Whoever buys it will probably find a lot to like and may be able to piece together more about the build from the Magazine article or elsewhere.

I have that magazine and read it so many times when new I practally have it memorised. lol

If I recall correctly, that particular car in the test had a 4.09 rear which limited its top speed in fifth, and the article mentioned the car would not pull top speed in sixth.
