I've had it with snow! We just spent the last 40+ hours with no electicity. Any idea how cold it gets in a house with no heat and it's 16 degrees outside? All in all we did fine, it could have been a lot worse.

I'm ready for spring just the same...

Ugh, sorry to hear that Scott! I always wonder if we could use our gas stove to heat the house some if the power went out, but thankfully I've never had to try it out.

Wow, sorry to hear that Scott. Was it a local outage?

Bob, Gas stove manufacturers say it is dangerous to try to heat a house with the stove. You would be consuming the oxygen and producing CO2.

Really sorry to hear that. I hope you got your power back.
Well, I came into work since I had to take care of a few things. I did not want to risk damaging the Z or getting stuck so I rented a non-descript Chevy FWD from Enterprise w/ full insurance.
Good thing I did because some of the roads were still a mess this morning.

Thanks for kind words. It was a local outage; affected about 1000 people. We made it through just fine. What I can't believe is there are people that still haven't had power restored.

I don't even bother posting snow pictures, just reminds me I have to live in it, hate it with a passion....

I work for Verizon and we are REQUIRED to be at work. I drive one of those Bucket trucks you see currently stuck in the snow!! Funny, I barely make it to work in my Dodge Ram 4x4, only to be told to go out on the unplowed streets in a two wheel drive, unbalanced, dual rear wheeled, 14,000 lbs SLED!!!! To INSTALL FIOS in your home!! I can understand repairing damaged lines and maintnance due to the snow. I do not understand making sure you have the golf channel?

Hey Steve, I saw an anti-FIOS commercial today (Cable or satelite, I guess). These installers were tearing up a guys yard and running wires all over his house... funny stuff.

I think I saw you in one of the scenes.

Stay warm.
