I searched a oil to reduce the mechanical engine noise and tried a full synthetic 20W-50.
The pistons in liners on cylinder 1,3 & 7 removed the nicasil coating.

Well, then I guess my LT5 will become more and more of an experiment as time goes on, because as stated before, I'm not going to invest the time and money to put new guides into a high-mile engine. You'll all be the first to hear of any failures
