I say let GC take the lead AFTER he has given us a or
Yes...if count me in (91' and potential 90' as well depending on pricing)

I am not sure about the Drivers door bezel long piece.
Is there similar on Passenger side?

I am thinking this would be the Cats Meow with Red Interior.
You should have determined that GC would've done "RIGHT" before your foolish move that you mentioned in Post#27. GC mentioned all along I believe "GOOD INTENT" But you couldn't leave well enough alone! That seems to be "often" the case! Daryl attempted to "share" maybe just a little prematurely but it seems that "MOST" caught on and just displayed interest!

Just sayin'

One needs to consider that to be "profitable" they need to concentrate on volume. I don't believe I'd expect considerable pricing reductions for this type of an order regardless the number of participants. Every piece of trim that they need to prep and process is likely 17+ years old, most much older. I would think there would be "bumps in the road" processing plastics with this age on them. This is likely something that isn't going to generate near as much interest once cost is revealed.

GC - I don't believe I've mentioned that it looks good and it certainly appears you should be "very" happy! That's GOOD! Remember that came from Dave!

Go and screw yourself

Just because my challenge of your stupid suggestions involving SAE wrenches on battery posts and oil pan drain plugs got you irked

There...I have finally had enough of this personal crap
The only foolish move on my part was taking this personal crap (That seems to be "often" the case!) for so long

Way to be Big D!! I think that product looks great. I hope it looks just as great when it's all installed in your Z!

Their work sure looks very precise from your photos. Too bad that is so labor intensive. JMHO, I doubt that doing a group buy would get much of a price break. To be fair to the company, hand labor is expensive no matter how large or small the quantity.....just saying.. Kind of like the difference between a chopper gun hull and a hand laid/vacuum bagged hull....time is money.

Tom
What is Big D? Another Forum Acronym I have no clue
What ever it means I guess it was important !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to you.

Daryll was the first with Carbon Fiber including the unique lettering and coating for the ZR1 as he stated (as far as I know). Now the first and maybe only prolly takes three times as long and the learning curve is very steep for something like this with so much learned after even a dozen to make a BIG difference I would say in thought and labor

I happened to really really like what Daryll did in his experiment which as I told Daryll in a PM sometimes works and somtimes does not work so well.....Daryll took the chance for the rest of us

Not only that.....if you set up for one at a time or a dozen at a time....BIG difference in process even if the learning is no factor.

As for me......I will continue to take photos with my IPhone 4s and rebuild engines including the LT5 and L98 but post less simply because posting here is not fun anymore with the verbal critics (on this Forum only) ....there....I said it again

Thanks Tom Me as well, I love the pics but but fit and finish and how it looks when its installed will be key so I can share my experience to the community. Those that know me Im about the club if I can move the ZR-1 in a positive direction I will. I would not have this car if it was not for the mutal owners that share the same addiction that I have. So far this project looks great.

As to the group buy you never know it might be cheaper slightly lets say if 5 or more of the same is all being done at the same time. One ofs are always more expensive and always like a box of chocolates. LOL
I had been toying with this for years. I saw my pops CTSV and said oh hell yeah. I did not want fake carbon fiber so I wanted to go all in.

Thanks again Tom for being who you are. That goes for the rest of you. All my brothers. D

Love what you've done here, Darrly. Thanks for sharing. I will send you a PM.

I share others' comments about some of the exchanges. As another forum member said to me personally, "It's a hobby. We don't need drama in our hobbys. There's lots of that in our mandatory walks of life!"

Daryl,

Simply put - fantastic!
I have always felt plastic and finish quality of center console, radio bezel, etc... left a lot to be desired. And this shortcoming gets amplified as car interior in general and even Corvette interior gets better with each succeeding generations.
I can only imagine how labor intensive this lamination process must be and I am sure it's reflected in cost. My hats off to you for taking this expensive, unknown plunge (at the time of commitment)!
If you don't mind, can you send me a message indicating what the cost was so I can start another piggy bank (Wilwood piggy bank, head porting piggy bank, door panel piggy bank, etc...).

My only concern is that after a conversion like this could our Zs taking on Lambo/Ferrari complex? - finickey and uncooperative?

Thank you.
