Talked with Marc today and he convinced me to pull the plenum and add extra heat sink paste to the ignition module. I only installed past to the intake and I would rather air-to-caution and pull the plenum and re paste the ignition module as well.
If anyone has a bad ignition module they would donor up, I would like to give to a friend of mine to play with and see if he can study it to find out more about it. This guy is double engineer from Yale. If he does figure it out then we may be able to repair bad modules in the future. Last edited by Z06scentair; 11-09-2013 at 02:38 PM. |

'SEEMS' to be good? Hmmm... bad word - 'seems'. How's she idling in Closed Loop? Do you do scan software for the car?
I dont do software very well.... ![]() ![]() Didn't find a vacuum leak but I will do me best in the morning when I remove the intake again to place more heat sink paste after the conversation with Marc Hailbeck this afternoon. Last edited by Z06scentair; 11-09-2013 at 02:38 PM. |

This cat is so smart, you ask what time it is? He tells you how to build a watch...better have a half hour to blow. |

The Infl Rest light has been on since the previous owner had the car. Today I decided to correct the code 26 which is the passanger side airbag sensor.
This sensor is mounted behind/under the blower fan assembly. Removed the inner fender, rocker panel, and side panel. I could just see the sensor up in there hiding. First step was to unhook the battery positive and negitive. Removed the front 13mm bolt no sweat. The rear 10mm was a little tougher. I took a 10mm 3/8 drive socket and slide it back and onto the bolt removing it, and then pulling the sensor out. I then scotchbrighted the back of the sensor and frame ground mounting hole. Applied di-electric grease to both parts. Hooked the battery back up and cleared the code 26.....and a code 12 flashed. Started the car and the Infl Rest light went out. Only light that is on now is the FULL POWER ON ![]() The total job took about two hours! |
