I am interested in meeting in Winchester Sunday morning. Rich and Scott from WAZOO have said they will also. I am on a road trip in California right now so I have limited ability to coordinate a meeting place until I get home.

Since you're (Saw your photo from Long Beach, did you reload at Seal Beach?) away, I'm suggesting those heading to Fontana from the Northeast meet as we did last year. Consider the Best Western, Lee Jackson Inn, at Winchester, VA. 540-662-4154. It has a Perkins Restaurant attached for breakfast. If you choose this, take I-81 South to exit 313B. Once on the exit ramp, get into the left most lane (even though you'll be turning right). As you complete your right turn, there will be a traffic light at which you will turn a partial left to enter the hotel and restaurant. I'll be there and plan to pull out no later than 9:30 AM. Access back onto I-81 South is quick and easy.

And so it goes...

I Second this idea!
Same as last year!
Let's meet at 8AM for those that want to eat breakfast before hitting the road!
ONE MONTH away! Looking forward to this trip!!!

FWIW: For the trip home I am planning on leaving after lunch on Saturday, driving as long as I can stand then finishing the trip on Sunday. 800+ miles alone is just too much for me anymore! Just saying in case anyone wants to run with me on the return trip.

Would it be wrong to drive my C6 to this?

I heard that a C6 was a C4 in drag

That said I may have to drive the back-up this year if I don't get everything sorted out (to my satisfaction) on the Z. And no, my backup isn't my S-10 beater (which I do take on the mountains with some regularity -- all it needs to be perfect is a better suspension and an LS engine)

I'm "WAITE LISTED" (first available) for a room at Fontana Village. (Long story). But, if anyone would like to split the room cost at Fontana w/ me, please PM me!

And, as luck would have it, I'm booked at the Town and Country Suites (May 12th, should anyone need to bunk up.

Dominic was planning to split a room w/ me at BG, but complications arise. So, if anyone wants to split the cost of a room at BG, let me know.

This MR is going to be a friggin HOOT! I feel sorry for all the rest that will have to listen to tales of our adventures for weeks!! LOL!

UPDATE: FYI, In the interim, Gunny had an opening, so I'm going to split a room with him. I DO have a room reserved at the Country Inn in Alcoa too I won't need now (bunking with George). I'll hold it up to within a week of the MR3 in case someone needs it. PM me if you want it.

Paul
