Anybody using silicone brake fluid in their cars? Also can it be used in the clutch system as well? Thanks

Everything I have seen says Dot 5 should not be used in antilock brake systems so it should not be used in your ZR-1. The GM hydraulic clutch system fluid is not standard brake fluid, it has some additional lubrication additives to keep the clutch master and slave cylinders from squeaking.

Ray,
Like Tom said, use the GM fluid. The part Number is 12345347.

I use the GM fluid in the clutch system. I have used Castrol, Wagner, and probably another brand or two over the 13 years I have had my ZR1. I believe there are some brake fluid recommendations in the maintenance area of this website.
