OK. Finally got the car on the road. Top End is now ported and matched to heads. Runs well. EXCEPT, when I punch it at lower rpm,
about 2-3K, I get a Code 55 (Fuel System Lean). Along with the porting, the secondary throttle plates are removed, new Accel injectors, 63mm TBs. I have made some alterations to the calibration to deal with secondaries operating always. I have checked Scondary FP. It runs. Haven't check FPressure yet. Any suggestions? |

Jeff,
New piece of info. I've got a code 61 Port Throttle Fail before the code 55. Could be Port Throttle Failure may be causing code 55. ?? |

There's two possible problems. Code 61 could mean your O2 sensor(s) are degraded and need to be replaced, or it could mean a part throttle error, which would mean your throttle position sensor has gone bad.
From the problem you're describing, I'd bet your throttle position sensor has gone bad. I've had similiar experiences with bad TPS sensors. Dominic, did you plug the tps back in? LGAFF 92 ZR1 #234 |

How exactly did you go about bypassing the secondaries? Code 61 sets when the secondaries are commanded open, but the car doesn't see vacuum of greater than 21kPa on the secondary MAP within 2 seconds.
The secondaries will then be commanded closed. Since yours can not close, I suspect it turns off your 2ndary injectors causing your lean condition.

And thanks for responding at that other place too. I'll need to check what's if anything is going on with the Scdy PT, but I wonder if I uncheck the MALF 61 bit, if that will cause the ECM to ignore the issue and just keep on going? I may have asked this question before although not necessarily in the same way. Last edited by XfireZ51; 03-08-2024 at 02:10 PM. |
