Default Coolant Pipe is cracked=leaking, are these still available?

My passenger side Coolant pipe/tube (attached to the lower front plenum/intake) is cracked and leaking, slowly. Is this something that I can purchase new? Or do I need to find someone with an extra?
Thanks for the help!

Can it be welded?

I'm sure it could be welded. In fact, if you opt for a replacement, keep it or sell it. Depending on where the crack is, you might get by with JB Weld - at least till you can get it welded.

And, I have some aluminum brazing rods which might be just the ticket for a small job
like that. PM me and we can discuss it further.

I was on his website earlier and must have missed it! I just bought the one Scrrem sent a link to along with a new gasket and set of bolts. Seems from reading on here that I will break at least one bolt if not all of them.

Im all over the JB Weld, just sanded down the PC around the crack. Should buy me some time until new part comes in.

Since these are rare and expensive I will have mine repaired and re-coated. I appreciate all the advice!

By the way, car only has 7K miles-why would this happen so soon? Age?

could be from the car sitting dormant for so and may have been low on coolant creating a rusting situation .

Aluminum does not rust

It can be rewelded and Carter is correct it is aluminum. The cracking could be from everything to overtightening to overheating to a factory defect.

iron oxide= rust aluminum oxide= corrosion

Big difference is rust is expansive in nature (can open up seams thus can cause leaks in metal to metal contact areas) and will continue to erode the iron as H20 and 02 find new Fe molecules to combine with. With aluminum it is much more stable with H20 and 02, but will form a very thin layer of aluminum oxide which by definition is corrosion. For those who have had the SIR impact sensor to body chassis fault issue know of this effect.

See.. those chemistry classes did have an effect on me
