Default 1992 Fuel Pumps - Which Walbro Model

Want to order Walbro replacement fuel pumps for my 1992.

Have read the previous threads related to fuel pumps and am not sure which Walbro fuel pumps to order.

Was told the 255 LPH pumps would be best.

Question - what is the direct replacement Walbro pumps for a 1992.

Walbro's replacement index does not include the ZR-1 engine.

Thanks in advance,

Gary

I can't tell you what the Walbro model number for stock replacement is, but LPE offers Walbro pumps for the ZR-1 on their website if it is any help:

https://www.lingenfelter.com/product...l#.YsVb7T5_Xt8

They also offer a high flow Walbro option.

Andrew,

Checked with LPE and their pair of pumps are 155 LPH. LPE didn't mention a high flow option when I told him that 255 LPH pumps were recommended for our ZR-1's.

Thanks,

Gary

I'm glad you shared that experience Gary, good to know.

I bought a pair of the "high flow" Walbro ZR-1 pumps from LPE late last year and was just able to check the model number. They are 255LPH pumps, model number GSS340G3.

The icing on the cake is that they are made in the USA.

Hope this helps.

Andrew

A single GS340 pump 255lph is sufficient for 500+ hp. I used one reliably for years on my 383ci LT1 C4.

I went with the single pump kit from Flyman on here. A single 255 lph pump which is more than enough for even a decently built motor. A little reassurance just dropping in a whole new sending unit and was very straight forward plug and play install.

Appreciate your all's input.

Found that Walbro 5CA400 255LPH is the recommended replacement.

Thanks,

Gary

Let us know if it's still a US made pump when you get your hands on them.

CamP,

Received the pair of Walbro 5CA400 pump kits. They were $65 bucks each.

5CA400 pumps is 25 GPH and used for the 1996 2500 Suburban, Camaro and C4 Corvettes.

They are made in the USA see attached photos. Fitment chart: https://aftermarket.tiautomotive.com...-applications/
