Default Just sold on ebay, what a bargain.

Someone got a great deal on this ZR1, if it's as nice as advertised. Why are people selling so cheap? Maybe their desparate for cash.

I picked this one up last fall for $14K almost identical in condition. The Turq Z does have a few issues and 88 K miles as compared to 76K miles for the this one I bought on Ebay last fall. This one come to find out had an aftermarket Aluminum Radiator, New Injectors and nice even compression of 210 lbs on ALL cylinders. The tires were almost new. The top hoop interior plastic was cracked but the rest of the interior was very nice. I replaced the top plastic hoop with an extra I had.

Did a quick (but highly documented with photos) engine restoration this spring maintaining the secondaries and installing SW Headers/Exhaust, Oil Catch Can, and a Marc Chip. TB Coolant was eliminated and ALL fluids replaced along with Differential Drain Plug installed.

Some other stuff was also installed none of which can be described as kludges quick fix work arounds

Before Top End Restoration but with Carter Bling

Very nice, the engine looks great! I wish my engine looked that nice, you got a great deal too! Now if you sell it what would you ask?

Except the back wheels on the terq. are on the wrong side. Directional tires on oposite sides makes me wonder if there is more hidden problems.

Ha.....I never thought of selling and out of pocket expenses on a restoration like this was minimal except for SW Headers and Exhaust.
This restoration was accomplished completely with engine in car

What does a can of Rustoleum cost

It is amazing what a can of Rustoleum can do (I have Powder Coated other Restorations).

I would say that most ALL problems are unknown vice hidden in sales like this. There is always a risk in buying any car with 88K miles as you have no clue how it was maintained and usually there has been multiple owners. And some owners thinking there are serious issues sell cheap when in fact the issues are easy to fix. It is my experience that the LT5 is extremely reliable if the oil is changed once in a while. The issues many think are deal breakers are really common well known issues that are very easy to fix.

Hard to tell. It maybe one of those highly modified but undocumented modification cars that are hard to keep running and has issues.
It maybe difficult to see through the kludges on such cars and while the mods seemed like a good idea at the time to the owner they now become a liability.

Everyone has their price point.

Scott, where are all of these modified cars that have all the problems. I never seem to hear about them except when you mention them.

Please help to educate us on these particular (vin #'s) cars before someone buys one.

Thanks

Brett

A modified car is as easy to keep just like a stock car.

I should have waited a couple of years to have got one cheaper.

Then again, if I can luck up into a deal, a pair and a spare (car) might work out if I can find a place to park it.
