C-8,cheaper than our cars new..

A new C-8 $59,995 that includes destination fee..Z-51 package $5,000 dollars....0-60 under 3 seconds..Top speed 194 MPH...

My 91 Z was $ 65,600 brand new..

Who knows maybe in 28 years this C-8 will be worth around 15-18,000 dollars like the C4Z....Gotta luv technology...

I can tell you this, in two years C3, C4, C5, C6, and C7s will all be worth less.

And..........The 2020 Stingray will be available with a hydraulic nose-lift option to avoid scraping the front of the car on inclines for $1,495.

The C8 is not a Zr you should compare it to base model C4

I don’t know about most of them but I do see values for C7 going in the toilet.

Gotta agree with this.
Not really fair to compare the most highly optioned car to the lowest.

But it is fun to think of that, my 29 year old Corvette sold for more than the can buy the latest Corvette. With the above exclusion.

Considering inflation, the price of a (base) C8 is ~ HALF of what our cars were in 1990 dollars!:jawdrop:

Something tells me they are going to build more than 6939 C8s over a 6 years span, and that the C8 won't hold any endurance records 26 years after it's release.

The C4 and the C8 can be compared, just base car to base car.....Both were radical departures for their time. Both created a huge amount of buzz and sales for GM. The C4 had new amounts of tech and it was a world beater at the time. Just like the new C8 will be. And when GM got around to giving the C4 a hotter model, we all know how that turned out :) I see a lot of similar things about the launch of the base C4 and C8.
