Re: Mod To Stock Mufflers

Thanks for the constructive suggestions - I'll look into the Dynomax line and consider fabbing up a restrictor myself, as we have very few competent muffler shops in this part of the world.

Re: Mod To Stock Mufflers

Many thanks - I may well do something along these lines - I wouldn't use pipes that were completely straight-through as I live in a village where they wouldn't be appreciated, but might use some...

Re: Mod To Stock Mufflers

Many thanks for your thoughts! Emissions regs are generally overlooked around here, so I very much doubt that would be an issue! No - the problem would be that there are so few ZR1's in this country...

Re: Mod To Stock Mufflers

Ha, ha - I can understand why you might think that as we're not allowed handguns. But as for rifles and shotguns, so long as we have the right paperwork, we can have almost anything except semi and...

Re: Mod To Stock Mufflers

Many thanks for your kind sentiments! As for the exhausts - if I can't modify the stocker mufflers, I'll leave it 'as is'. Right now, other things have call over my cash resources. Here in the UK we...

Mod To Stock Mufflers

This is my first post for some years, so please be nice to me! Anyway - my '90 ZR1 got parked for various domestic reasons (my wife got the Big C amongst other things - she's well now though). Over...

Anything ZR1 in the Tampa area?

I'm travelling over from the UK tomorrow for a military convention in Tampa - I arrive Sunday 18th and leave again Saturday 24th. I was wondering if there was anything ZR1-related in the area?...

Re: 90 ZR1 not charging

Jim - Many thanks for your kind comments! :)

The new alternator did fix the problem, however, when it arrived, there was not a sign of a maker's name, number, or anything on it - even the...

Re: 90 ZR1 not charging

I'm a happy man - the new alternator went on without too much hassle this afternoon, and the 'Z' is now charging again! :)

Re: Hub bearings?

Many thanks for taking the trouble to reply - it's very helpful to know that the hub is the same as on the L98 cars! :) Sadly, the play in my wheel is close to the limit allowed by the UK 'MOT' - the...

Hub bearings?

My rear right wheel has a small amount of bearing play in it (wheel off the ground, rocked top and bottom). I've searched through this and other sites, but all I can find out is that the whole hub is...

Re: Buying a ZR1 in the UK - good deal?

I got my ZR1 on Tuesday! Sadly, the alternator went yesterday... Never mind though - I've got a new one coming on Monday! :)

I love the car, and it's like new throughout, in spite...

Re: 90 ZR1 not charging

I'm in rural Devon, in south-west England. :) The roads here are not much wider than the car in places, and often have twelve-foot hedges either side. If this isn't bad enough, they're usually...

Many thanks for your reply and kind sentiments! :)

As to the problem - I checked the alternator's output this morning, and it was zero. I pulled it off and checked the rectifier pack, and two of...

Hi All - This is my first post, and I was hoping it would be under happier circumstances...:o

Back in the late 80's, I used to work as a test engineer at a place called the British Internal...
