Hub bearings?

My rear right wheel has a small amount of bearing play in it (wheel off the ground, rocked top and bottom). I've searched through this and other sites, but all I can find out is that the whole hub is normally replaced. Since ZR1 hubs are not stocked by many/any places in the UK, I would like to keep the hub and just replace the bearing. Without stripping it all apart to see, I don't know if it is possible - has anyone here any knowledge on the subject?

The bearing assembly is replaced as a unit; it cannot be disassembled. The shop manual gives the allowable "play" - some is allowed, so you may not have to replace it yet. And the ZR-1 assembly is the same as ones on the L98 cars.

Many thanks for taking the trouble to reply - it's very helpful to know that the hub is the same as on the L98 cars! Sadly, the play in my wheel is close to the limit allowed by the UK 'MOT' - the annual vehicle safety check, so I'm going to have to sort it out before too long...

Greetings. I replaced a rear hub assembly 2 years ago on my 90 ZR1 with TIMKEN hub assembly #513020. Was about $150. No problems since.

I replaced mine with a Precision Bearing Part #513013.
