High idle

I have a problem with high idle. When I pull up the engine will idle at around 2000rpm until I blip the throttle then it will drop down to normal and idle ok

Valkenburg is very close to the Dutch border so certainly the car would have been out of the country very quickly. Personaly I think the car was taken to order and now resides in Russia or similar....

Anyone know what the primary/secondary resistance should be on the Delco coil packs when measured hot/cold?

At what figure would they be out of range and ns?

Does a Lotus Carlton 6 speed ZF box fit a 90 ZR1? Are they the same, ratios etc?

I have a vague idea that something is slightly different but cant remember what an dthat they can be swapped one...

Ive ordered a # 10052210 which is the same as the pn on the broken one.

What is p/n 10270127? Sites list it as the same 88-96 r/rear suspension knuckle.

Found a place over here that had one but no way was I paying £300 for one!! Just have to wait a bit longer for it to come from the US. At least it failed at...

Never hit any potholes that bad.

Its on the side of the car that gets the easiest life, Driving on the left over here the left side tends to get the most potholes being on the edge of the road.

There wasn't just one large pothole. The trip out there involved the usual bad potholed/patched Belgium highways. Then we did some driving in Germany (good roads) and the ring. It failed on our way...

ok got out under the car after work. Here's a couple of pics

I cleaned up the inside of the other one and all looks ok but I will need to remove the wheel and have a good look on the outside yet....

Rear Knuckle Failure

On the way back to England from Germany yesterday my r/side rear knuckle failed causing suspension collapse.

we managed to limp the car home after packing out the bump stop. I'll get a photo...

Lotus did used to build their own engines. The switch to Toyota was probably a good thing. Lots Of Trouble Usually Serious - Lotus. Came from their reliability issues.

As for lotus using LT5's...

A friends Diablo has just been in to have it's doors sorted and resprayed. Cost thousands and will need doing again in the future. The steel and ally react and blister the paint apparently.
