I used a wire from a coat hanger to" fiche" behind the kick panned to the connector on the firewall (above and to the left of where the drivers left ankle would normally be - tying into the tack signal wire. The Raptor sits behind the A/C vent. Very stealthy...until it comes on. No trouble seeing it then!

Paul,

It would be easier and more convenient to just use diag harness connector on drivers side and pull switched power and tach signal from there. Add a ground to the MAP sensor bolts then snake wires between A pillar and IP pad.

I wish someone had a YouTube video of a shift light install...I've got some goodies I want for my Vette for this Fall...Skinny front tires, Fidanza flywheel, and perhaps relocating the battery to behind the seat.

Far as skinny front tires go...you might want to talk to Pete about his experience with them...Was pretty hairy!

Apples and oranges...

If mounting the light at the A pillar that sounds like the ticket. But, if the A/C vent is the target...then I'm seeing some difficulty getting from the A pillar location to the A/C panel; whereas the "C" connector route is pretty simple, methinks, no?

To Nacho: I'll pull up the wiring details and post them after work. Gotta run just now.

Paul, did you ever get a chance to find the wiring details?

Wasn't where I "knew" it was.

I'll look some more tonight.
