Hmm. That's just down the road. Maybe I need to add another to the stable. I love the color.

It blows me away that 95s like this one would be selling for under $30K. Are people that desperate to get rid of them?

For his starting bid you'd get a pile of junk for a C2. And this is a 400+ HP technical marvel that is still in many ways competitive today.

After being around these cars for a long time I notice the following:

Paint on engine does not match the mileage.

Yes, the engine paint does not hold up the best but an LT-5 with those low miles and given the rest of the condition (very nice) of the car should not have that appearance.

The car should sell at that price point. There may be more to the story.

What do you think could cause this and do you think it is problematic?

12k is only a statement made by the current owner. It doesn't mean that the car never sat outside day in/day out at one point in it's life. Being a west coast car, you wouldn't expect rust on bolt heads either, unless it was upper west coast. It looks nice but probably not garage kept 100% of its life. That would probably attribute to the engine discoloring as much as it shows.

New powder coating of engine pcs and a little wheel well freshening and that car would be spectacular. Still a possible deal for someone.

Very nice looking in the photo's.
Unfortunately the Market for C4 ZR-1 is dying. When you see a LPE TT sell for 45K, A 440 cu in that does not sell for 35k, various 415 cu in cars that dont sell for 15k and a LPE 368 sell for less than 10K the market stinks and no one is getting top dollar for their ZR-1 unless it is extremely rare.
