Your not kidding about hard to get to. Is this photo from when you had your engine or transmission pulled? I wonder if it might be better to cut the wire, butt splice to extend, or just crimp new ends on and ground it to an easier location.

I suppose you could cut the braided wire and extend. You could end up getting what are called "ground loops" though. I have not heard of anyone doing it.

With the plenum removed, and especially the coil packs, th grounds are not that hard to access. I should have done the rag trick to the drainhole. I only drilled mine out to 3/8" and flushed it with acetone.
