Dave, that light will come on if the car's ignition is cycled a set number of times without the car being moved. It has something to do with the ride control system's self diagnostic regime....if you drive the car and shut down and restart the light will go out. That is the most common cause for the "service ride control" light....unless ofcourse there actually is something wrong. In the circumstances that prevail now I do believe my bet is there is nothing wrong except the car has not been moved far enough.

Thanks for that Tom. I'll keep an eye on it and see what happens. Given the circumstances that sounds likely.

Two cookies in fact - I drove mine to the place I am storing it until the weather clears up a bit and the light stayed firmly out.
