I raced with Matt @ Mojave a couple of times, loved spanking his Porsche the 1st time, but he had the last laugh the 2nd time with a ZR1, no dash, Really nice guy, good times, true car guy

October is usually cool(er) and dry. The morning DA would favor some really quick passes, me thinks! Maybe Bob G and Kevin too can join in the fray!
My big milestone would be reaching 150 mph. But, using the power "square law" for velocity, I don't think the mods I have in mind are going to give me 40-50 more hp that it would take to get that high (put me right up there near Pete's motor - ain't gonna happen this year). However, before the next 1/2 mile WANNAGOFAST event, the CPCC 1/4 mile Corvette Shootout will hopefully come in September - and the ZR-1s and the FBI will be the defending champions again! Do we know how to have fun, OR WHAT?? ![]() |

Here's some further information regarding a controversy on speed and timing.
Could AL have actually had 2 runs identical down to the 10000th" Hmmm. Hey Peter! Yes, we certainly cannot control the results. I have just spoken with the company and they have assured me the results were not "duplicates" but real speeds recorded separately for each pass. There was actually a pass made in between the GT-R and Viper passes and it did not have the same speed. The Viper and GT-R were extremely close throughout the day so honestly the tie does not surprise me. There is only so many values you can get in a 66ft speed trap so we are now looking at upgrading to a 132ft trap in order to lessen the chance of people running the same speed. At the end of the day everyone had a great time and our speed equipment ran perfectly, which allowed everyone to get tons of passes in Official Results for class winners should be posted by tomorrow! |

If they increase the trap length, won't that lower trap speeds?
