I took some pics today with the chrome amolds. The car looks much better with chrome wheels as opposed to stock oem powder coated amold wheels. the 1990 stock wheels do come with the car. I will try to post this weekend some pics. I had my wife take some on my android as I was preparing the car to go to west palm beach to get the oil leak fixed and then it will be put on consignment. sometimes you dont know how nice your car is until you decided to sell it. I did check the paperwork and the paint is 20 years old. Trust me, it looks better than new car paint. Imron is fantastic stuff. the first guy that sees it , buys it.

I am trying to get them from my android over to my desktop. I did manage to take a few pics of my zr1. The day I trucked it over to West Palm Beach it look particularly beautiful all cleaned up. The zr1 is stunning for sure. I picked up my z06 after dropping off my zr1 and began my 2 hour drive home. I stopped off at an exit in boca raton florida and was on congress ave when some guy in a new c7 was right behind me. he had his top down and I heard him rev up his engine. I could see he is one of these guys that thinks because he bought a new corvette that it is the baddest car in town. He actually thought that he can beat an old 2003 c5 z06 in a street race!! what a foolish thought it was. I beat his car like a red headed stepchild....it was no contest. when we met up again at a red light he would not even look over. My z06 is a 11.5 quarter mile car all day long. I love to race guys like him. I already miss my zr1, my old war horse. At least I can say I had the privilege to have owned one for 3 years. The zr1 is being consigned by horsepower sales of west palm beach. he will market the car and advertise it. He might even take it to Mecum in January if it is not gone. He said the car has tremendous eye appeal and had the right colors. I am downloading pics now on my computer. I will try to see how to get them in this forum.

Ed, since you have driven both, you mentioned you already miss the ZR-1. Outside of the repairs/finding a knowledgeable mechanic for the ZR-1.. could you list some things you miss on the ZR-1 and some things you are happy with on the Z06??

Everyone says once you sell the ZR-1 you will miss it or feel it was the wrong choice ( but everyone still has theirs) curious as to if it is true, why is it in your opinion..
