Default WTB: frame stiffner

I took the top off my ZR1 the other day on the way home from work. I will never do that again!!!

Unless these two things actually work.

1) Frame stiffiner bar system by vet 2 vet, does it make a huge difference. I have seen lots older post on here and other sites but know one really answered the question.

2) I am planning on teaming that up with the R&D camber brace if I can find one.

Anyone have a brace for a 90 ZR1 for sale?

Consider an R&D harness bar brace .... if you can find one. I purchased/installed the harness brace primarily for the camera mount and was surprised that it solved all of the shaking & looseness when the top was removed. The install was quick & easy and uses existing holes (no drilling required).

Lol I think I am just going to leave it on!

Does the brace improve the structure with the roof on?

I live in the country with not the smoothest roads so if it helps I'm interested.

When I first got mine, it did not shake at all with the top off, but now it does, I find that puzzling.

I have the No Flex frame stiffener that I purchased/won at the silent auction at Carlisle. It works! We have speed bumps in our development and a dip in the road that would cause the car to flex when the top was off. Now no flex or noise.

I have been saying that for 7 years.. they work. i wouldn't still have the original prototypes on my car if they did not work.

I have the NO Flex Frame Stiffening Bars on my Z and they have made a big difference with the roof off to this day.
