I noticed the other day, I have a leak in either a fitting or the oiler hoses. Jerry will be getting a call from me soon, as I should just change them out. Does one need to drain the cooler oil or can you get around that?

Simple, easy way is to load up below the fittings (motor and cooler side) with old towels. I'm not sure if there is a drain plug for the oil cooler and, even if there is, wouldn't take a chance with the plug after 23 - 28 years.

There is a cooler plug on the left side of the cooler there is a hole in the plastic I got mine out easy as putting it back in was a little harder as it is on a angle above the steel frame under the front just be careful doing it back up I noticed my plug looks like it might go thought into the cooler

You do not have to drain any oil. Let the Z sit over night and then do what you want with oil cooler hoses or oil filter. you might stuff a rag or two under the fittings. Sent from my iPhone using ZR-1 Net Registry
