Default Throttle Body Vent Hoses

I have been tracking down all my vacuum leaks, and when I pulled the plenum, I noticed that the driver side hose off the driver side of the throttle body for ventilation had a crack in it. Also, the way it sits on both the throttle body and that pipe going into the head, its not real tight.

So, does anyone know what size this hose is, and, are there suppose to be hose clamps on it? Mine had no hose clamps.

Also, is the passenger side the same diameter as well?

The hoses you are talking about are actually for fresh/filtered air to the crankcase via the cam covers. The purpose is to purge the crankcase of vapors via the PCV system back into the plenum & ultimately burned. These hoses do not need clamps. There is an o-ring in the cam cover that serves as a seal and retainer of sorts for the aluminum tube. Both aluminum tubes each have a tab welded onto them which bolts to the engine to hold it in place.

The hoses do get hard after all this time & heat. The driver side hose is just a short piece of stock hose available at A/Z or similar store. Pass side is a "formed bend." I've seen generic hoses like tis in auto parts stores, just needing cut to the right length for the LT5.

The one you should really check is the lower PVC hose behind the plenum. It's a unique piece connecting on each end to an aluminum tube that ties into the injector housings on each side of the engine. The PVC hose may feel ok on the firewall side but be rotton soft on the engine side.

Ok cool, thats what I wanted to know, that the hoses are something simple to obtain.
