Jano,

Any chance you have a DVM? You should be able to build patch wire for TPS signal and ground wires then read voltage. If you have a scantool that would be cool also.

I dont think he is talking about setting the TPS voltage. There is a pocedure for the ABS/ASR to let the computer know what voltage the TPS is at idle.

Jano,

I think you need to reset the slack on the cable between the ASR and the Throttle Body. I'm assuming you've tried the ASR button on the dash.
BTW DVM stands for Digital Voltmeter.

I'm reviving this thread because I recently removed my throttle body and TPS.
I did this while the battery was connected. Although there is no SERVICE ASR LIGHT, the cable adjuster will not allow full throttle opening. I reset the length using a 1/8" drill bit and mashing the throttle. That resets correct length BUT whenever I start motor, cable goes slack and will not allow full throttle. It also feels as if timing is retarded. Replaced ASR cable adjuster motor as well. Same result. I have set TPS voltage using my scantool, but it appears that the ECBM requires the Tech 1 in order for it to learn TPS voltage at idle. The FSM doesn't show any other method for this. I don't get any codes or lights. Anyone have a Tech 1 I can borrow? Checked w Marc and he does not have one. I may need to call Gordon Killebrew on this one.

Hey Dominic I was just thinking that Sammy from Elko, NV posted up about this issue some where in the tech section I think. He had an answer to the issue, but I can't remember what the procedure to correct the lack of WOT.

I didn't pay attention too much as my car is a 90 and we're electronically challenged vs the later cars.
