I fussed a little with that stuff too - musta had a pound of weights n springs at one time, single and dual points kits, etc, etc. Gave it up for lent when a local shop would "curve" it to whatever ya wanted.

Speaking of which, there is a solid state "drop-in" replacement for the points - meaning the end of having to constantly be chasing timing/dwell. Gonna give it a try (Ami's Vette). It runs about $75, I'm told - put on to it by a local speed shop mechanic friend of mine.

On another note...Bout time for some more pizza, yes?

I swapped out points in my Audi 4000 and Scirocco S many years ago. Points would corrode in less than 5000 miles. So I used an optic system instead.
