Default Prom tune in the Northeast

When I got my Z last fall I put in a Haibek chip. I would hate to think that I have to drive to go to Haibek's shop from Boston to fine tune the chip. The Vette Drs told me that they don't do prom programming. Any suggestons?

Are you serious that the Vette Docs won't do it? I also have a Haibeck chip and was thinking about doing the same thing. The Docs still advertise packages for the Z, you would think that they would tune them. I guess were in the same boat.

I think the Vette Doctors use DRM for their proms. Thats what they installed in mine when I had work done.

What I was told is they could do some dyno pulls and street test and come up with some of the parameters that need adjusting and then pull the chip and send it back to Haibek. This quote,"could take several back and forths before it was right" or something close to that. I might be better off driving to Illinois. Anybody up for a caravan? My mapping program shows it as a simple 15hr51min jaunt covering 1002 miles one way.

Thanks, up until last night I always thought that they did it themselves.

I've been thinking about getting the heads ported so maybe late fall I'd consider making that journey. Another option is B.G. I think Marc will be there doing some tuning in a few weeks. As far as 15hr51min, you could spend that much time on 128!

We should all pitch in on an enclosed transporter for a delivery to Marc's.
And drive 'em home !!

Lost in the north east, that's what we should call this thread? No maybe a drift in the north atlantic?!

That is not a bad idea Frank. I think it's much better than the thought that runs thru my head occasionally...go to Gordon's school for the full course, buy a shop, work on my Z myself.
