Default Discovered another production difference>>>

My ZR had a cracked drivers side interior halo trim (from someone over tightening a trim screw)... finally found a NOS one in correct color (thanks to Kurt W). On the back side of the piece were two 3/4" circles with cross hairs inside the circles.. one was marked "1990" and the other "1991 and later". Appears the OEM replacement trim piece was made sans hole so that one part could be made to fit all...installer simply had to drill the hole for the seat belt anchor in the correct position....the 1990 seat belt anchor is about 1 inch higher on the halo that the 1991+ models. So if you have to ever replace either halo trim piece and is a salvaged part make sure it has the correct seat belt anchor location.

That is all that is different?

hmm. I know you can get Repros from Corvette America.. Wonder if i could get 1990 ones in a different color (Torch Red) sans hole to match my interior better ( have black right now)

Seat belt anchor location is the only difference. I had been looking for a [torch delete ] flame red halo for 1 1/2 years and had no luck until Kurt W happened to get the exact piece...he didn't even know the piece was in the lot of parts he purchased from somewhere.

You mean flame red. Torch red is 94-96. I have changed to torch red with black
