Default low tire sensors

HELP!! Tire genius knocked my blue sensor loose while breaking down for new tires. I have some ???
1. Do the sensors have to be where factory placed by color? i.e. blue L/F etc.
2. Sensor was clamped back on wheel but I am not sure wheel was set for left frt.( he may have set left tire on right wheel for rotation)
3. Light came on after several miles and I am still testing
4. Are they being remade or substituted by anyone?

Any help appreciated,

Each color is specific to the proper corner of the car - there's no learning procedure or other way to change that. If the tire jockey put it on the wrong corner, then it will be read by the LTPWS module as the wrong corner, as it has no way of knowing where that sensor is actually mounted.

No aftermarket substitutes, but there's always spares coming up for sale sine most folks ditch the system.

They swapped corners on me and it works just fine. I was sorta pissed at the guy for not just swapping the tires again, but he said it would work anyway, so I let him put them on the car and no light. The car is a 94 so maybe at some point they became capable of figuring it out anyway?

No, it's just that if your LF tire is low, but it's actually the RF wheel that is mounted on the LF, the LTPWS will report the RF as being low. The system will not trigger a service light if it is receiving from all 4 sensors, regardless of where they are mounted.
