I would love, or at lest I think I would like a new style ZR1 wheel to replace my 91 wheels.... I just like the spyder look.... but I cannot seem to find the corret size offset... anyone know where I would go about getting the correct 18" wheels with offsets and tires???
thx in advance... |

Hi & welcome to our corner of the asylum!
![]() As an "off the shelf" product we are limited in our choices even at our OE 17" size, at larger diameters I have never seen anything that would not need a spacer to adjust the new wheel to our required rear offset. I'm sure that there is a wheel company somewhere that would be willing to make wheels in our offsets as a special order item, but I've never looked into how much that would cost....I'm sure it's more than I could afford anyway! ![]() Tom

A spacer is going to be be necessary for correct fitment. The rear Z06 wheels I had on my car were backed up with an 18mm spacer using longer GM racing studs. As for the fronts, the 40mm offset worked out ok visually but I believe you can find aftermarket 18" wheels with an offset closer to the stock 59mm offset on our ZR-1s. BTW, =Jeff= ps'd the new ZR1 wheels on my car and I thought they were a bit too busy bs the more simple ( and elegant) Z06 split spoke. These wheels have more of a Ferrari look to them IMO. |

Ok, thanks for everyones time.... so far no luck... so I agree after viewing the photoshop, the new ZR1 spyder is too busy... but I do like the more simple chrome style C5 style Z06...... can I buy a set of those somewhere?

The ones in my pics were not C5s, they are C6Z. Just want to make sure you're looking for the ones you really want.

Dominic (XfierZ51) had C6ZO6 wheels on his green car and it looked great.

![]() Frank, These z06 wheels should look dynamite on the Black Rose car. Have you ever done yours? ![]() Last edited by XfireZ51; 01-27-2011 at 07:00 PM. |
