Hi does anyone know who sells a steel clutch slave cylinder replacement. All I can find is the cast model I would rather have the steel one and not the cast one. Or possibly a rebuild kit would do also. It's for a 1990 zr1.
Any help would be appreciated Bob |

Thanks guys I have a call into zf doc if he can't help I will try Powertorque Systems. I tried rock auto but they didn't know what they had cast or steel didn't get a warm feeling. Too bad I have used them in the past but the tech couldn't take a look to see what he had in stock.

Rockauto has both cast and steel. They list about 6 or 8 that fit the 90. The links I sent are the two steel ones going by the pics. The others were obviously cast going by the pics. When I replaced mine I used a cast part.

Jim at PowerTorque rebuilt my master and slave. Only way to go, as many of the new units may be misassembled. I had the cast units in my Z while I waited to get the originals rebuilt and they just don't feel the same. Call Jim. He's a great guy to work with

If you don't close there, I have all the hardware from my '90 ZF after doin' the auto conversion; 'Doug' has 1st dibbs on the tranny - if you're interested, I can get up with him to see what other parts he might want... (hardware has 32k on it).............

I'm pulling mine out to fix the leak. I used to be a Girling Distributor, and had new ones years ago. When I take it apart, I will see if I have the seal kit needed. I have built tens of thousands of power brake units. Many seals will interchange on cylinders. IF I figure out the seal kit, will there be anyone interested in ordering? you can see my videos at youtube.com/powerbrakeservice
