Few weeks ago I decided to just replace everything under the plenum. I had coils and plug wires which I did not know the age of and I just wanted the peace of mind of knowing they were changed. Expert advice told me they have never seen 93-95 injectors fail but I decided to just go with new ones too. After replacing them the car fired up and ran exactly the same. No difference whatsoever. These fit 90-92 cars as well. O rings were replaced with Viton I believe from JerrysGaskets I believe last spring. All are in perfect shape no cuts etc. Only been driven 2-3k miles since.
Some pics. I ohm tested these cold with the plenum off but they were pretty much all identical. I may have a duplicate photo in there but i have pics of every injector . ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() $250 shipped. paypal only 647-206-3144 text any questions or pm etc paypal address is Psychowette@hotmail.com Last edited by 5ABI VT; 12-18-2017 at 07:55 PM. |

Jim bought a purple 95 that had very low miles. injectors failed at maybe 8k miles i want to say. So I'm pretty sure they all had the same issues

Mr.Haibeck has said he has never seen 93-95 injectors fail. Pretty sure he has seen more than a few zr-1s. I figured if I had bought a 90-92 I would jump on these at least considering they came out of a great running car and are oem gm and that 90-92s are pretty much guaranteed to fail. At least that's my .02. worst case they sit as spares!

This is like buying used tires. I would just hold on to them as spares I dont see someone going through all that work and replacing them with used injectors. Would you buy them for 220 and put them in your car? just saying.

I think the Sellers asking price is reasonable for a complete set of 16 used 93~95 fuel injectors. For many of our ZR-1 friends, the cost of a new set is a very expensive purchase. Given the fact that the chronic injector problem exists primarily for pre-1993 ZR-1's, makes a known, serviceable set of 16, 93~95 injectors, a low risk consideration in my opinion.
I concur with Marc Haibeck's assessment and have had the same experience with many of our customers who inquired and/or purchased injector sets. This is not to say there have not been legitimate occurrences of problem injectors for the 93~95 models, but compared to the 90~92 injector failures, the number is insignificant.
