all the time meaning AC on or off?

could be the clutch, could be a bearing.. while screaming does it actually work to cool the car?

If noise only occurs when AC is turned on, probably the clutch worn out & metal to metal.

Mine squeals when I haven't driven it in a while. Has a new bearing in a new compressor, so only thing it can be is the clutch. It goes away after a minute or two of driving.

don't drive it , mine did that and before I got home I , it cut through the snout of the compressor and couldn't be repaired !
