Just got my Sumitomo's installed today. First impressions are very positive. They are quite smooth (for a tire of that size) and very quiet. They replaced the original Gatorbacks that had 7300 miles. I ran them up to about 85 and they were silky smooth.
Awhile back there was some discussion about whether or not the Sumitomo's were narrower than other brands. I measured the Gatorbacks sidewall to sidewall and came up with 12 1/2 inches. The Sumitomos measured 12 5/8 sidewall to sidewall. Can't comment on how they compare width wise to current offerings of other brands. |

I agree with everything you have said about these tires. I have have had them on now for almost a year. I was quoted $417.00 each for the goodyears and the Sumitomos $109.00 each. I can burn off 4 sets of the sumitomo's to one set of goodyears.
